LlamaIndex Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of LlamaIndex's Service and set out what both you and LlamaIndex can and cannot do. The most significant practical consequences are that fees you pay are non-refundable and your account can be suspended or terminated at any time without notice or explanation. Unless you opt out, any dispute you have with LlamaIndex must be resolved through individual binding arbitration — not in court and not as part of a class action.

The LlamaIndex Terms of Service establish the substantive conditions under which users may access and use the Service, imposing binding financial, procedural, and intellectual property obligations on both parties. LlamaIndex retains broad unilateral discretion to modify, suspend, or terminate the Service or any user account at any time, with or without notice or cause, and without incurring liability. Users grant LlamaIndex a perpetual, irrevocable, transferable, worldwide, royalty-free license over all User Content, while expressly disclaiming any ownership of their accounts or data held on LlamaIndex's servers. All fees are non-refundable and non-cancelable once incurred, aggregate liability is capped at the greater of amounts paid or $100.00, and dispute resolution is channeled exclusively into individual binding arbitration with a waiver of jury trial and class action rights unless a user opts out. Users are prohibited from using any Service content, including metadata, for AI or machine learning training purposes or for natural-person identification technologies.

As a user, you do not own your account and have no rights to data LlamaIndex stores on its servers; your uploaded content is deleted from LlamaIndex's S3 storage within 48 hours of processing, so you cannot retrieve it after that window. Any fees you incur are locked in immediately — they cannot be cancelled and will not be refunded, including for unused subscription time if your account is suspended or terminated. By default, you are bound to resolve disputes with LlamaIndex exclusively through individual binding arbitration and have waived jury trial and class action rights; the Terms include an opt-out mechanism for the arbitration requirement, which you can exercise if you choose not to be bound by it.
