Companies change their terms quietly. We read every version and catch what actually changed. One email a week on the changes that matter and what they mean.
This page describes what the document states, permits, or reserves. It does not constitute a legal determination about enforceability. Regulatory applicability may vary by jurisdiction. Methodology
This document explains what personal information Marqeta collects when you use its website and services, how it uses and shares that information, and your rights over it. Marqeta may share your information with advertising and analytics companies to show you targeted ads, and it transfers data internationally to countries that may offer fewer legal protections. If you are a California resident, you have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and Marqeta will notify you before making material changes to this policy.
Marqeta's Privacy Notice establishes how Marqeta collects, uses, retains, and shares personal data in connection with its website and non-Payments Services activities, explicitly excluding data processed through its issuer payment processing and card program management products. Marqeta automatically collects device and browser information via cookies, web beacons, and related tracking tools, and may share personal information gathered from website interactions with social media, advertising, and analytics providers for targeted advertising purposes. Personal data is retained on a necessity-based standard tied to service delivery, legal and regulatory obligations, dispute resolution, and agreement enforcement. The Notice acknowledges that international data transfers may subject user data to laws less protective than those of the user's home country, treats continued service use as consent to such transfers, and disclaims any guarantee of complete data security. Where supplemental privacy notices exist, they govern the specific activities they cover and take precedence over the main Notice unless the supplemental notice provides otherwise.
Users of Marqeta's website and services should be aware that personal data is automatically collected through cookies and tracking tools, may be shared with third-party advertising and analytics providers, and may be transferred internationally to jurisdictions with fewer data protections. Continued use of Marqeta's services constitutes consent to these data transfers as described in the policy. Marqeta has explicitly disclaimed any guarantee of complete data security, meaning users bear residual risk of data exposure. Personal data processed through Marqeta's Payments Services is not covered by this Notice, so users of those services should seek separate documentation for how their data is handled. California residents can exercise their right to opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information directly with Marqeta.
