This clause clarifies the ownership boundary between developer-created content and Epic's underlying technology, establishing that the license is non-transferable and grants no implied rights beyond the scope of the Licensed Technology. This prevents disputes over ownership of derivative technologies or Epic intellectual property.
Developers retain full ownership of their game products and content created with the engine, but cannot claim ownership of or extend usage rights to the Unreal Engine technology itself or any other Epic intellectual property. Rights are limited to what the Agreement expressly permits and cannot be created through implication or estoppel.
