Companies change their terms quietly. We read every version and catch what actually changed. One email a week on the changes that matter and what they mean.
This page describes what the document states, permits, or reserves. It does not constitute a legal determination about enforceability. Regulatory applicability may vary by jurisdiction. Methodology
By using UnitedHealthcare's website or Online Services, you automatically agree to its Terms—no signature required. Anything you submit can be used by UnitedHealthcare permanently and in any way it chooses, and UnitedHealthcare can cut off your access at any time without warning or explanation. If you have a dispute, you must bring it within one year and under Minnesota law.
UnitedHealthcare's Terms of Use establish the conditions under which users may access its Online Services, binding users to the Terms and Privacy Policies through use alone, without a signature or explicit opt-in. Users who submit content grant UnitedHealthcare a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide, fully sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and display that content in any media; unsolicited submissions become UnitedHealthcare's property outright. UnitedHealthcare reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or block user access at any time without cause or notice, and modifications to the Terms take effect immediately upon posting. Liability for any loss connected to the Online Services—including losses caused by UnitedHealthcare's own acts or omissions—is disclaimed in full, users are required to indemnify UnitedHealthcare for third-party claims arising from their breach, and all disputes are governed by Minnesota law with a one-year limitations period (New Jersey residents excepted). Users receive only a personal, non-commercial, revocable, limited license to view content for the sole purpose of learning about UnitedHealthcare's plans or products.
Using UnitedHealthcare's Online Services binds you to its Terms immediately, with no opt-in required. Any content you submit—including unsolicited submissions—becomes subject to a permanent, irrevocable license or outright UnitedHealthcare ownership, and you cannot reclaim those rights. UnitedHealthcare can suspend or terminate your access without cause or advance notice, and it disclaims all liability for losses connected to the Online Services, including those caused by its own actions. If you have a legal claim, you must initiate it within one year of when it arose (unless you are a New Jersey resident) in Minnesota courts under Minnesota law. If you wish to avoid submitting content that triggers these intellectual property terms, refrain from sending any unsolicited submissions through the Online Services.
