This page describes what the document states, permits, or reserves. It does not constitute a legal determination about enforceability. Regulatory applicability may vary by jurisdiction. Methodology
This is Apple's master terms of service covering everything you can buy or access through Apple's digital ecosystem, including the App Store, iTunes, Apple Music, Apple TV+, iCloud, Apple Arcade, and Apple Pay Cash. The most important thing for most users is that nearly all purchases are final and non-refundable, subscriptions auto-renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal, and Apple can remove your access to purchased content or terminate your account. If you want to avoid unexpected charges, review your active subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings and turn off auto-renewal for any service you no longer want.
This document governs the use of Apple Media Services, including the iTunes Store, App Store, Apple Books, Apple TV, Apple Arcade, Apple Fitness+, Apple News+, Apple Podcasts, Apple Music, iCloud, Game Center, and Apple Pay Cash, and is structured as a binding agreement between the user and Apple Inc. (or a regional Apple entity). The agreement states that purchases are generally final and non-refundable, that Apple may remove or disable access to content at any time, that subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date, and that users grant Apple a license to use materials submitted through Apple's services. The agreement asserts a broad right to modify, suspend, or terminate services or user accounts with limited notice obligations, and reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or limit orders or downloads including for suspected fraud; applicable consumer protection law in various jurisdictions may limit enforcement of some of these provisions, particularly around refunds and account termination. The document engages the FTC Act regarding unfair or deceptive practices, CFPB jurisdiction over Apple Pay Cash as a stored-value payment product, COPPA regarding the age restrictions and Family Sharing controls for minors, and CCPA and GDPR to the extent Apple collects transaction and usage data in connection with these services; compliance considerations are jurisdiction-dependent given the agreement's explicit regional entity structure, which routes EU users through Apple Distribution International Ltd. in Ireland and UK users through iTunes S.a.r.l. in Luxembourg.
