What it is

Revolut limits how much they can be held responsible for if something goes wrong, excluding liability for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or missed payments.

This analysis describes what Revolut's agreement states, permits, or reserves. It does not constitute a legal determination about enforceability. Regulatory applicability and practical outcomes may vary by jurisdiction, enforcement context, and individual circumstances. Read our methodology

ConductAtlas Analysis

Why it matters (compliance & governance perspective)

The foreseeable loss standard narrows the scope of recoverable damages in breach scenarios by excluding consequential, indirect, or unforeseeable losses. The carve-out for negligence, death, and fraud reflects statutory limitations on contractual liability waivers that apply to gross negligence and intentional wrongdoing.

Recent Activity

This document changed recently

Medium Mar 23, 2026

The updated Terms of Service no longer document the Move Money Rules feature, which previously allowed users to set up automatic fund transfers across account pockets or currency exchanges based on custom conditions. The removal of this documentation means users cannot point to the terms as a reference for how this feature operates, what limits apply, or what fees may be charged. If the feature remains available in the app, its operational parameters are no longer formally described in the binding terms document.

We will only be responsible for foreseeable losses. If we break the Agreement, we will only be responsible for any loss that we could have foreseen at the time we entered into the Agreement. Nothing in these terms and conditions removes or limits our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence or from fraud or fraudulent claims and statements.

Institutional analysis (regulatory & governance intelligence)

Broad consequential damages exclusions are standard in fintech terms but may conflict with consumer protection statutes in certain states. Legal teams should assess enforceability under applicable state law, particularly in California and New York.
