Claude.ai Terms of Service

This document sets the rules for using Claude.ai: Anthropic can change or shut down the service at any time without warning, and your content may be used to train AI models unless you opt out in your account settings—though that opt-out has exceptions. Payments are generally non-refundable and your subscription renews automatically until you cancel. If you registered with a work email address, your employer's administrator may be able to monitor and control your account.

These Terms of Service establish the conditions under which Anthropic provides Claude.ai to users, covering service availability, data use, payment, liability, and acceptable use. Anthropic reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Services at any time without notice and at its sole discretion. User-submitted content may be used to train Anthropic's AI models unless the user opts out through account settings, though that opt-out is overridden when the user submits Feedback or when content is flagged for safety review. Liability is disclaimed across virtually all damage categories, payments are non-refundable except as expressly stated or required by law, and users must indemnify Anthropic against liabilities arising from their breach or alleged breach of the Terms. All disputes must be resolved exclusively in courts located in San Francisco, California.

As a Claude.ai user, you have no contractual guarantee of continued access, and Anthropic can suspend or discontinue the service without prior notice. Your submitted content may be used to train Anthropic's AI models; you can opt out through your account settings, but that opt-out will not apply when you submit Feedback or when your content is flagged for safety review. Your subscription renews automatically with recurring charges until you actively cancel. All payments are non-refundable except where the Terms expressly provide otherwise or law requires it—users in Brazil, Mexico, South Korea, or Taiwan have a legal right to cancel within 7 days of subscribing without giving a reason. If you registered with an employer- or organization-owned email address, that organization's administrator may be able to monitor and control your account.
