These are enforceable legal rights under California law, not just policy commitments — California residents can compel Acorns to act on these requests and can escalate to the California Privacy Protection Agency if Acorns fails to comply.
Acorns collects a wide range of sensitive personal and financial information, including government IDs, Social Security numbers, bank credentials, investment activity, and device and location data, and the policy permits sharing this with affiliated companies, service providers, and marketing partners. Users of the Acorns Early product for children should be aware that data related to minor account beneficiaries is also collected and handled under the policy, with the policy noting COPPA applicability. You can submit a data deletion request or opt out of certain data sharing by contacting Acorns at privacy@acorns.com or through the in-app privacy settings.
