Corrections log
ConductAtlas maintains a public record of corrections, revised interpretations, and updated classifications. Serious governance infrastructure evolves transparently.
This log documents substantive corrections to ConductAtlas analysis and classifications, and every change record we have withdrawn after publishing it, with the reason. A withdrawn record's page stays readable and links back here. Routine updates such as new document versions, updated summaries from source changes, and expanded regulation coverage are not listed here. Methodology

October 2026: 919 change records withdrawn as artifacts of a superseded text extractor
On 8 and 9 October 2026 we withdrew 919 change records that had been first published between 18 April and 7 October 2026. They had been public for a median of 108 days (between 1 and 174).
Each recorded a difference between two captures of a page that lay in page furniture, not in the document: navigation menus, footers, page titles, language pickers, related-article lists, embedded page data, live counters and clocks. Our text extractor stopped reading these in two steps: navigation and footer stripping, deployed 10 September 2026 (890 of the 919 were first published before it), and extractor version 5, deployed 7 October 2026. Version 5 also drops page titles, video fallback text, menus built as select lists, link labels, loading placeholders and related-post lists, and folds invisible characters and typographic quotes. Re-extracted with version 5, the two captures behind each record contain the same text.
Each record has its own entry in this log, quoting what it described. Its page stays readable as a withdrawn record.

Target: change record CA-X-003334 recorded a difference our own extractor made
This record described a change to Target Terms and Conditions observed on Jun 29, 2026. What differed between the two captures it compared: “…ueries":[{"dehydratedAt":1782606855542,"state":{"data":{"data":{"met…” became “…ueries":[{"dehydratedAt":1782693302706,"state":{"data":{"data":{"met…”; “…Count":1,"dataUpdatedAt":1782606855294,"error":null,"errorUpdateCount":0,"errorUpdatedAt":0,"fetchFailureCount":0,"fetch…” became “…Count":1,"dataUpdatedAt":1782693302500,"error":null,"errorUpdateCount":0,"errorUpdatedAt":0,"fetchFailureCount":0,"fetch…”; and 2 more passage(s) of the same kind. That passage is page furniture, not part of the document, and the archive's current text extractor (version 5, deployed Oct 7, 2026) no longer reads it: re-extracted, the two captures contain the same text, so this record would not have been created. It is withdrawn as an artifact of how we read the page, not as a finding about Target's document. Measured Oct 9, 2026.
As published (withdrawn)
ConductAtlas detected that 4 sentences were modified in Target's Terms and Conditions document on June 29, 2026. The specific operational changes cannot be determined from the provided diff context, which consists primarily of HTML markup and compiled JavaScript rather than readable policy text. The document now contains 931 sentences total, but without access to the actual written terms, the nature and impact of these sentence-level modifications cannot be assessed.

This record described a change to Runway Privacy Policy observed on Jun 25, 2026. What differed between the two captures it compared: “…y Policy / California Notices Code of Conduct / System Statu…” became “…y Policy / California Notices / Cookie Settings Code of Conduct / System Statu…”. That passage is page furniture, not part of the document, and the archive's current text extractor (version 5, deployed Oct 7, 2026) no longer reads it: re-extracted, the two captures contain the same text, so this record would not have been created. It is withdrawn as an artifact of how we read the page, not as a finding about Runway's document. Measured Oct 9, 2026.
As published (withdrawn)
Runway's Privacy Policy footer was updated on June 25, 2026 to add a 'Cookie Settings' link in the footer navigation. Previously, the footer contained links to Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and California Notices without a dedicated cookie settings option. The addition of this link provides users with a direct access point to manage cookie preferences from the policy document itself.

The DIFF context provided consists entirely of minified JavaScript code and HTML markup from Target's website header and footer, with no discernible changes to the actual Terms and Conditions document text. The change detection system identified 4 sentence modifications, but the provided diff does not contain readable policy language that would allow substantive analysis of what terms changed or how they affect users.
