What it is

If you have a dispute with Revolut, you must resolve it through private arbitration rather than going to court, and you cannot join a class action lawsuit with other customers.

This analysis describes what Revolut's agreement states, permits, or reserves. It does not constitute a legal determination about enforceability. Regulatory applicability and practical outcomes may vary by jurisdiction, enforcement context, and individual circumstances. Read our methodology

ConductAtlas Analysis

Why it matters (compliance & governance perspective)

The clause establishes the procedural mechanism for dispute resolution and modifies the forum available for raising claims. It constrains the aggregation of claims by eliminating collective proceeding structures, which alters the economic and procedural framework for dispute processing.

Recent Activity

This document changed recently

Medium Mar 23, 2026

The updated Terms of Service no longer document the Move Money Rules feature, which previously allowed users to set up automatic fund transfers across account pockets or currency exchanges based on custom conditions. The removal of this documentation means users cannot point to the terms as a reference for how this feature operates, what limits apply, or what fees may be charged. If the feature remains available in the app, its operational parameters are no longer formally described in the binding terms document.

Consumer impact (what this means for users)

Consumers lose the right to pursue claims in court or as part of a class action, meaning individual arbitration through JAMS is the sole remedy for disputes with Revolut, which can be costly and impractical for small-value claims.

What you can do

⚠️ These actions may provide transparency or partial mitigation but may not fully address the underlying issue. Effectiveness varies by jurisdiction and individual circumstances.

How other platforms handle this

Chegg Medium

If, however, this Class Action Waiver is deemed invalid or unenforceable with respect to a particular Dispute...neither you nor Chegg will be entitled to arbitration of such Dispute.

Wise Medium

Neither you nor we may elect arbitration of any claims seeking only individualized relief asserted by you or us in small claims court, so long as the action remains in that court and is not removed or appealed de novo...

Any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to this Agreement or the breach, termination, enforcement, interpretation or validity thereof, including the determination of the scope or applicability of this agreement to arbitrate, shall be determined by arbitration. The arbitration shall be administered by JAMS pursuant to its Comprehensive Arbitration Rules and Procedures. Judgment on the Award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction. You and Revolut agree that each may bring claims against the other only in your or its individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative proceeding.

ConductAtlas Analysis

Institutional analysis (regulatory & governance intelligence)

(1) REGULATORY FRAMEWORK: The arbitration clause implicates the Federal Arbitration Act (FAA, 9 U.S.C. §§1-16) which generally enforces such provisions. The CFPB's 2017 arbitration rule (12 CFR Part 1040), which would have restricted class action waivers in consumer financial contracts, was repealed by Congress under the Congressional Review Act. State-law challenges remain possible under unconscionability doctrine (e.g., California Civil Code §1670.5). The CFPB retains supervisory authority over arbitration practices under Dodd-Frank Act §1028. (2)
