This cap severely limits financial remedies available to users in the event of platform failures, data breaches, or other significant harms, regardless of actual losses incurred.
Interpretive note: Enforceability of this cap varies by jurisdiction; EU and UK consumer protection law may override this limitation for certain categories of claims, particularly data protection breaches.
The agreement states that content users post on Pinterest may be used by Pinterest for advertising, marketing, and distribution through partner platforms under a broad royalty-free license that persists after account deletion for content already saved or shared by others. US users who do not opt out within 30 days of accepting the terms are subject to mandatory individual arbitration for disputes with Pinterest, waiving the right to participate in class action lawsuits. You can opt out of the arbitration clause by sending a written notice to Pinterest within 30 days of first accepting or re-accepting the terms, as specified in the dispute resolution section.
