EU, UK, and Swiss users' data is transferred internationally, and the adequacy of Standard Contractual Clauses as a safeguard remains an active area of regulatory scrutiny following Schrems II.
OpenSea collects a broad range of personal data including wallet addresses, device identifiers, browsing behavior, and NFT transaction history, and shares this information with third-party analytics providers, advertising partners, and service providers. A material practical limitation exists: because NFT transactions are recorded on public blockchains, OpenSea cannot fulfill deletion requests for on-chain data even when a user exercises their erasure right, meaning some personal information remains permanently accessible regardless of account closure. You can submit a data access, deletion, or opt-out request by contacting privacy@opensea.io or through the privacy rights mechanisms described in the policy.
