Linear Terms of Service

This document sets out the rules for using Linear's Service, including what Linear owns, what you own, and what each party is responsible for. Linear can change its fees or the terms of the Agreement at any time, with at least thirty days' notice for term changes. If something goes wrong, the most you can recover from Linear is the amount you paid for the Service in the previous twelve months.

This Agreement establishes the terms under which Linear provides its Service to Customers, defining the scope of intellectual property ownership, licensing rights, and mutual indemnification obligations. Linear retains all rights in the Linear Materials while acquiring a perpetual, irrevocable, sublicensable license over any Feedback provided by Customer. Linear's aggregate liability is capped at fees paid or payable in the twelve months preceding the damaging event, and Linear disclaims all warranties on an as-is, as-available basis. Linear holds unilateral rights to modify fees at its sole discretion, suspend or terminate Service access under defined conditions, and amend Agreement terms upon at least thirty days' notice. Upon termination for cause, Linear must delete Customer's User Information, passwords, related files, and User Submissions within thirty days.

As a Customer, you are required to defend Linear against third-party claims arising from your User Submissions, while Linear is required to defend you against third-party claims that the Service infringes intellectual property rights. Any feedback you provide to Linear becomes subject to a permanent, irrevocable license that cannot be withdrawn. Linear can suspend your access, stop providing the API at any time without condition, and end your Free Version access upon notice. If Linear terminates the Agreement for cause, your data will be deleted within thirty days — if you believe that trigger applies to your situation, you can reference that thirty-day deletion window when communicating with Linear.
