The DPF is currently the primary legal mechanism Datadog asserts for US-bound transfers of EU and UK personal data, but the framework's long-term legal stability has been subject to political and legal uncertainty, and organizations relying solely on DPF should monitor its status.
Interpretive note: The long-term legal validity of the EU-US DPF is subject to ongoing political and legal scrutiny in European courts; the practical enforceability of this transfer mechanism depends on continued EU adequacy decisions.
The policy states Datadog collects identifiers (name, email, job title, company), device information, IP addresses, browsing activity, and any personal data included in monitoring data uploaded by enterprise customers to the platform. The policy authorizes sharing this data with third-party analytics, advertising, and service provider partners, and states that data may be transferred internationally using Standard Contractual Clauses or other approved mechanisms.
