Users generally cannot recover payments made to Anthropic, with the only exceptions being specific carve-outs stated in the Terms or legal requirements—limiting financial recourse after payment.
Once you make a payment, you cannot obtain a refund unless the Terms specifically provide for one or applicable law requires it.
How other platforms handle this
For cryptocurrency payments, you will be reimbursed in cryptocurrency but for the euro equivalent of the initial purchase.
We will issue a refund within three Business Days of receiving your request, provided that the funds have not been picked up by the designated recipient prior to our receipt of your request for a refund.
No refunds of fees already paid will be given. Clients may opt out of the Direct Contract program or cancel a Service Contract...however Upwork will not refund any fees for Service Contracts that were considered active at any time in the month prior to the charge.
