The updated privacy notice discloses that Walmart collects text transcriptions when you use voice features such as voice search or the Sparky AI shopping assistant. Walmart states it does not use voice data for biometric analysis and only captures voice interactions when you actively activate a voice feature by pressing the microphone button or similar action. Connecticut residents now receive the same additional third-party disclosure rights previously available only to Oregon and Minnesota residents. If you use voice features, your voice interactions will be converted to text and retained according to Walmart's data retention practices as described in the full privacy notice.
