Writer's Privacy Policy explains what data Writer collects when you use its services, how Writer uses that data, and what rights you have over it. Writer will never use your inputs or outputs to train its AI models. Writer does use your data to show you personalized ads, and it allows third-party ad networks to place tracking technologies on its services, which those third parties control under their own privacy policies.

Writer's Privacy Policy establishes the terms under which Writer collects, uses, shares, and retains personal information submitted by users of its Services. Writer imposes an absolute prohibition on using user-provided data—including inputs and outputs—to train its models, while expressly permitting use of collected data for personalized advertising delivered by Writer and its advertising partners. The policy grants Writer discretion to allow third-party ad networks and ad servers to deploy cookies and similar technologies on the Services, with those third parties' own policies governing their data practices. Data-subject rights include a non-discrimination guarantee for users exercising privacy rights and recognition of the browser-based Global Privacy Control signal. The DPF Principles supersede Writer's Privacy Policy in the event of any conflict, and unresolved complaints may be submitted to binding arbitration through a DPF panel.

When you use Writer's services, any personal information you include in your inputs is collected by Writer and may reappear in your generated outputs, so you should avoid embedding sensitive personal details in prompts. Writer will not use that data to train its models. Writer and its advertising partners use your data for personalized advertising, and third-party ad networks may independently track you through cookies—those third parties' own privacy policies govern that data collection. If you continue using the services after a policy update, Writer treats that as confirmation you have read and understood the latest version. You can send a browser-based Global Privacy Control signal, which Writer honors as a privacy opt-out.
