Wix Terms of Use

This document governs use of Wix's website-building platform and associated services, establishing a contractual relationship between Wix.com Ltd. and users who create accounts or access the platform, with Israeli law stated as the governing law and Tel Aviv courts designated as the exclusive jurisdiction. The agreement states that users grant Wix a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, adapt, distribute, and display user-generated content, and the terms authorize Wix to suspend or terminate accounts at its discretion for violations of its policies. Notably, the agreement asserts broad intellectual property rights over user content and limits Wix's liability to the greater of fees paid in the preceding twelve months or $1,000 USD, a cap that may be subject to challenge under certain jurisdictions' consumer protection laws; the governing law clause designating Israeli courts may also be unenforceable against consumers in the EU, UK, or certain US states under mandatory local consumer protection regimes. The document engages GDPR for EU/EEA users, CCPA for California residents, and general FTC consumer protection principles; users in these jurisdictions may have rights beyond what the agreement explicitly acknowledges, including data portability, erasure rights, and opt-out rights that may supersede contractual limitations.
