The agreement reserves Uniswap Labs' right to revoke user-claimed subdomains and usernames at its discretion and without notice, including for terms violations, unlawful behavior, conduct that harms the service, offensive names, or to comply with legal requirements.

This provision establishes that username access can be revoked without notice at Uniswap Labs' discretion, including for subjective criteria such as names deemed offensive; users whose wallet identity and public profile are associated with a subdomain should be aware that this association can be administratively terminated without prior notification.
The updated terms establish new contractual representations that users must make when agreeing to the agreement. Users now represent that they are not subject to economic or trade sanctions administered by any governmental authority, including OFAC lists, and that they are not citizens or residents of sanctioned jurisdictions. Users also represent that their access and use will comply with all applicable laws and will not be used to conduct or facilitate illegal activity. These representations are legally binding attestations that may be verified. Users in OFAC-sanctioned countries cannot truthfully make these representations and would be unable to use the platform.
View change record →The updated terms establish new restrictions on user conduct and add affirmative representations regarding asset eligibility. Users trading tokenized real-world assets (such as tokenized stocks, ETFs, or commodities) must now represent that they have reviewed issuer information and comply with any restrictions on trading or holding those assets. The terms also explicitly prohibit circumventing access restrictions, including geographic blocks and transfer limitations imposed by token issuers. By continuing to use the platform, users affirm they are legally eligible to trade tokens under their jurisdiction's laws.
View change record →The updated terms establish that Uniswap does not warrant that any digital asset accessible through its products is available for trading, holding, or transacting in your jurisdiction, or that you are legally permitted to do so. The revised language places the burden on you to determine whether a digital asset is lawfully available to you and to comply with any applicable transfer restrictions imposed by asset issuers or regulatory authorities. This means accessing or trading an asset through the Uniswap interface does not constitute Uniswap's determination that you are eligible to do so under your local laws.
View change record →Under this clause, Uniswap Wallet users who claim a subdomain username may have that username revoked without notice at Uniswap Labs' discretion, including for conduct deemed to harm the service or for names considered offensive; the agreement also states that changed usernames may not be reclaimed.

"We reserve the right to revoke access to your username at our discretion without notice. Access to your username may be revoked if you violate these terms, violate the law, or engage in behavior that harms our service. The subdomains should encourage connection and happiness, so offensive names may also be revoked. We may also revoke your username to comply with a legal requirement or court order.Excerpt from Uniswap's Terms of Service
REGULATORY LANDSCAPE: The unilateral revocation of user identifiers associated with wallet addresses may interact with platform governance expectations and, in certain contexts, with applicable consumer protection law regarding service continuity and notice. The absence of a defined notice requirement or appeal mechanism may be evaluated under consumer protection frameworks in jurisdictions that require reasonable notice before account or service termination. GOVERNANCE EXPOSURE: Low. The username revocation provision primarily affects individual consumer users of the Uniswap Wallet; however, the absence of a notice requirement and the breadth of the discretionary revocation grounds may warrant inclusion in any enterprise acceptable use policy review. JURISDICTION FLAGS: EU users may have consumer rights regarding service termination notice under applicable digital services regulations. The Digital Services Act may impose obligations on certain platform operators regarding account and service termination procedures. CONTRACT AND VENDOR IMPLICATIONS: The provision that usernames squatted in violation of these terms may be reassigned, and that purchasing or selling usernames is prohibited, creates operational parameters for any third-party integration that relies on Uniswap Wallet subdomain identifiers. COMPLIANCE CONSIDERATIONS: Legal teams assessing the Uniswap Wallet for enterprise use should note the absence of a defined appeals mechanism for username revocation and evaluate whether this is consistent with applicable platform governance requirements.
