SoFi's Privacy Notice explains what personal information SoFi collects—including through tracking technologies—and how it shares that information with affiliates, third parties, and advertising partners. You can opt out of certain types of sharing, including the sale or sharing of your data for targeted advertising across other websites and platforms. If you do nothing when prompted, SoFi treats your inaction as agreement to its use of tracking technologies.
SoFi's Privacy Notice establishes how SoFi collects, uses, and shares user information with affiliates and non-affiliates, including through pixels and tracking technologies whose data is transmitted to social media, advertising, and analytics partners. The notice defines enumerated categories of information sharing that customers and consumers may opt out of, and commits SoFi to not selling or sharing personal information for cross-platform targeted advertising when a user opts out. User inaction constitutes deemed agreement to SoFi's use of tracked technologies. The notice also discloses SoFi's credit inquiry practices: an initial soft pull for rate-checking that does not affect credit, and a hard pull triggered upon application continuation that may affect credit.
SoFi collects your information through pixels and tracking technologies and shares it with social media, advertising, and analytics partners. If you do not make a selection regarding those technologies, SoFi treats your inaction as agreement to their use. You have the ability to opt out of specific categories of information sharing identified in the notice, including the sale or sharing of your personal information for cross-platform targeted advertising—when you opt out, SoFi commits to stopping that sharing. If you proceed past rate-checking to a full application, SoFi will pull your full credit report from one or more consumer reporting agencies, which may affect your credit score. To limit sharing, exercise the opt-out described in SoFi's privacy notice.
