Redfin's financial responsibility to you for any harm caused is capped, and they are not responsible for indirect losses like lost profits, data loss, or other consequential damages — even if they knew those damages were possible.
If Redfin's platform causes you significant financial harm — for example, through an error in property data that affects a transaction — your ability to recover damages is severely restricted.
The consequential damages exclusion and liability cap are standard in technology platform agreements but carry heightened risk in the real estate context where platform errors can affect transactions worth hundreds of thousands of dollars; legal teams should assess enforceability under applicable state law, as some jurisdictions limit such exclusions in consumer contracts.

Redfin's Terms of Use significantly restrict consumers' legal recourse by requiring binding individual arbitration and waiving class action rights, meaning users generally cannot sue Redfin in court or as part of a group. Any content or feedback you submit to Redfin — including property information and photos — is licensed to Redfin on a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual basis.
