Why it matters (compliance & governance perspective)

The personal participation requirement applies even when a user is represented by counsel, unless Discord waives it in writing. This provision functions as a mandatory procedural prerequisite that may delay access to formal dispute resolution and creates an additional procedural barrier that courts may be asked to evaluate as a condition precedent to arbitration.
