The clause enumerates specific categories of prohibited conduct, establishing the boundaries of acceptable behaviour on BeReal's Services.
The updated terms establish a graduated enforcement approach that considers violation severity and context, replacing the previous three-strike rule. Under the revised language, BeReal may remove content, suspend accounts, or delete accounts depending on violation nature and circumstances, with immediate permanent termination for severe violations including child sexual abuse material. EU users now receive formal procedural protections: clear statements of reasons for enforcement actions, access to an internal complaint system within six months, and the ability to contest decisions. You can submit complaints free of charge through the internal complaint-handling system by emailing appeal@bereal.com with your username and case reference.
