The opt-out for model training is not absolute; two specific circumstances—submitting Feedback and safety flagging—override the user's opt-out choice, meaning users cannot fully prevent their Materials from being used in training through the standard opt-out mechanism alone.
If you opt out of model training but later submit Feedback about any Materials, or if your Materials are flagged for safety review, Anthropic will use those Materials for model training regardless of your opt-out.
