Change Summary
OpenRouter restructured its User Content storage terms detected on July 28, 2026. Previously, the agreement described only Private Prompt Storage (opt-in) and general content licensing; the updated terms now distinguish three storage categories: opt-in Private Prompt Storage for debugging, processing-related temporary storage for batch/large-volume requests with specific access limitations, and feature-specific retention periods documented separately. Users grant OpenRouter a license to host and store content for processing purposes under the new section, with OpenRouter limited to accessing such content only as necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot the service, or comply with law.
