Scale AI Terms of Service

Scale AI's Terms give you a limited, revocable right to use its Site for your own internal purposes, while Scale AI keeps all ownership of the Site and can end your access at any time without notice or reason. If something goes wrong, Scale AI's total financial responsibility to you is capped at $100, and it is never liable for indirect or consequential harm. You also agree to cover Scale AI's legal costs if a third party brings a claim related to your use.

Scale AI's Terms of Service establish a narrow, revocable, non-transferable license for users to access and use the Site solely for internal purposes through supported browsers, while reserving to Scale AI complete ownership of all intellectual property in the Sites. The document imposes a $100 aggregate liability cap, excludes indirect, incidental, special, consequential, and punitive damages entirely, and conditions all access on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis with no warranties. Scale AI retains sole discretion to suspend or terminate access at any time, for any reason or no reason, with or without notice, and to revise the Terms at any time, with commercially reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes only. Users bear broad indemnification obligations covering Scale AI and its officers, directors, employees, consultants, affiliates, subsidiaries, and agents against all third-party claims, and grant Scale AI a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, unrestricted license over any Feedback provided.

As a user, your access to the Site can be ended by Scale AI at any time, for any reason, without notice, and automatically ends if you violate any part of the Terms. Any Feedback you submit becomes permanently and irrevocably available to Scale AI for any purpose, with no way to retract it. Scale AI may monitor all information you send or receive through the Site. Your financial recourse against Scale AI for any harm is capped at $100, and you cannot recover indirect, consequential, or punitive damages. You are responsible for defending and indemnifying Scale AI and its associated personnel against third-party claims arising from your use. Scale AI may change the Terms at any time; for material changes, it will use commercially reasonable efforts to notify you.
