This provision grants Rapid unrestricted authority to suspend or terminate platform access without notice and for any reason, including potential suspension during active API transactions or subscription periods for which fees have already been paid; given the no-refund policy, termination may result in loss of access to paid subscription periods without compensation.
The updated terms establish a new GenAI Features category available through the Service and specify the operational and liability framework governing their use. GenAI Features are provided on an 'as is, as available' basis with no warranties regarding accuracy, reliability, or fitness for any purpose. Under the revised terms, users assume sole responsibility for evaluating and verifying any outputs generated by GenAI Features before taking action based on them. Where chatbot functionality is included, the terms specify that chatbot responses are informational only, may be inaccurate or incomplete, and users must not submit personal data to chatbots. RapidAPI disclaims all liability for losses arising from reliance on GenAI or chatbot outputs.

(1) REGULATORY LANDSCAPE: No-notice suspension and termination provisions in marketplace platform agreements may engage the EU Platform-to-Business Regulation, which imposes requirements on marketplace operators to provide reasons and adequate notice for account suspension or termination of business users. FTC unfair practices standards may also be relevant for consumer-facing account suspensions. California consumer protection law and New York consumer service regulations may impose disclosure or notice requirements that interact with this provision. (2) GOVERNANCE EXPOSURE: Medium to High. For API Providers who have listed APIs, established customer relationships, and ongoing billing arrangements through the platform, immediate no-notice suspension or termination creates significant operational and commercial exposure. The combination of no-notice termination and the no-refund policy means users may lose both platform access and paid subscription value simultaneously. (3) JURISDICTION FLAGS: EU-established API Providers may have protections under the EU P2B Regulation requiring adequate notice and stated reasons for account suspension or termination. California and New York consumer protection frameworks may impose additional procedural requirements for termination of consumer accounts. (4) CONTRACT AND VENDOR IMPLICATIONS: API Providers should assess business continuity risk associated with no-notice platform termination, including the impact on API Consumers who have active subscriptions to their APIs through the RapidAPI marketplace. Enterprise procurement teams should consider whether no-notice termination authority is consistent with their vendor contract standards. (5) COMPLIANCE CONSIDERATIONS: API Providers operating in the EU should assess whether the no-notice termination provision satisfies EU P2B Regulation requirements. All users should maintain independent backups of any content, API documentation, or business records hosted on or accessible through the RapidAPI platform.
