Mistral Terms of Use

These terms are essentially a map of Mistral AI's full agreement structure, telling you which specific document actually governs your use depending on who you are — an EU consumer, a non-EU consumer, a commercial customer, or a business partner. The document itself does not spell out what you can or cannot do; it points you to separate documents — including a Privacy Policy, a Usage Policy, and a License Notice — that do. Every user is subject to at least the Privacy Policy, the Usage Policy, and the License Notice.

This document establishes Mistral AI's overarching agreement framework by identifying the full set of named instruments that govern different user and partner categories. It does not itself state substantive obligations but designates distinct governing documents for EU consumers, non-EU consumers, commercial customers, business partners, and partner-served deployments, alongside universally applicable instruments covering privacy, acceptable use, licensing, and cookies. A Data Processing Addendum is identified as applicable to commercial customers specifically. The framework is therefore modular: the rights, obligations, and limitations applicable to any given party are determined by the combination of base terms and the category-specific instruments named here.

As an individual user, this document tells you that your actual rights and obligations are contained in a separate, geographically scoped Terms of Service (one for EU consumers, one for consumers outside the EU), and that a Privacy Policy, Usage Policy, and License Notice apply to you in all cases. To understand what data is collected about you or how you may use the service, you need to locate and read those named documents. No specific opt-out window, preference mechanism, or contact action is established in the provisions here.
