What it is

Users are prohibited from using generative AI or related technologies to create or distribute prohibited content or to misrepresent AI-generated content as authentic. Content created using these technologies must be prominently labeled, and failure to label grants GOAT the right to add labels, restrict content, or ban the account.

This analysis describes what GOAT's agreement states, permits, or reserves. It does not constitute a legal determination about enforceability. Regulatory applicability and practical outcomes may vary by jurisdiction, enforcement context, and individual circumstances. Read our methodology

Why it matters (compliance & governance perspective)

This provision establishes a user obligation to label AI-generated content prominently, with GOAT reserving the right to apply its own labels, impose restrictions, or permanently ban accounts for non-compliance. The enforcement mechanism is at GOAT's discretion and may operate without prior notice.

Interpretive note: The scope of 'new technologies and applications' and the definition of 'prominently labeled' are not precisely defined in the document, creating interpretive uncertainty regarding which content and workflows are covered.
