Consumer impact
BeReal collects a wide range of personal data including dual-camera photos, precise geolocation, device identifiers, and phone contacts, which are shared with third-party advertising and analytics partners. This means your real-time location and images may be used to build an advertising profile about you. You can request deletion of your personal data or opt out of certain data processing by contacting BeReal at privacy@bereal.com or through the in-app settings.

Delete Your Data

Email privacy@bereal.com with your account information and a clear statement of which right you wish to exercise (e.g., deletion, access, portability). BeReal must respond within 30 days under CCPA and one month under GDPR.
Export Your Data
Within 30 days
Open the BeReal app, go to your profile settings, navigate to the Privacy section, and select the option to request a copy of your data. Alternatively, email privacy@bereal.com with a data portability request.

California's Attorney General enforces CCPA/CPRA consumer rights including the right to deletion and the right to know, and accepts complaints when companies fail to honor valid consumer requests.
