This Agreement and the relationship between you and Apple shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, excluding its conflicts of law provisions. You and Apple agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located within the county of Santa Clara, California, to resolve any dispute or claim arising from this Agreement.
If you need to take legal action against Apple outside of arbitration, you would have to do so in California courts under California law, which creates a significant practical barrier for consumers in other states or countries.
Apple's Terms of Service govern every digital purchase and subscription across the App Store, iTunes, Apple Music, and Apple TV+, meaning the agreement affects virtually all Apple device users in the US. Consumers should be aware that all digital purchases are licenses rather than permanent ownership, auto-renewing subscriptions can have their pricing changed with 30 days' notice, and the mandatory arbitration clause prevents users from participating in class action lawsuits against Apple. You can manage your subscriptions and cancel auto-renewals through Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions on any Apple device before your next billing date.
